FORTUNATO RALLY - 2024 NEW ENGLAND FALL FOLIAGE TOURThe Fortunato Rally is a scavenger hunt style vintage car rally that gathers teams of automotive enthusiasts for some friendly competition to exercise their vehicles over a 1,000+ mile 3-day tour of New England states and sometimes NY during Mid-October each year.Along the way, they will network with other car nuts, test the durability of their car, possibly perform some improvised roadside repairs, drive some cool roads while using clues to search for checkpoints, perform some optional challenges/activities, take lots of photos and make memories just trying to finish. 6TH CATSKILL COVERED BRIDGE RALLYA noncompetitive tour open to all cars for the pure enjoyment of driving open rural roads, we follow 13 rivers and creeks through the Catskill Mountain Watershed and Wild Forest. We cross both Branches of the Delaware River on Historic Covered Bridges and cross two more Covered Bridges at Livingston Manor and Beaverkill. This is a hoot of a drive, starting at the Catskills Visitor Center in Mount Tremper and following the Esopus Creek to its source and then picking up the Neversink River through Frost Valley and beyond. MASCOUTAH IL FALL FESTIVAL CAR SHOWOur show is open to all years and makes of cars and light trucks. Our 2023 show drew 180+ entries. We award 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies in 22 classes as well as Best of Show-Stock and Best of Show-Custom/Modified. The show area is on a paved street and all entries must be driven into the show area. Winners and their cars must remain in the show area until after the trophy presentations. in addition to the show, we have a giant craft fair and chili cook-off. BRITISH CAR FESTIVALThe South Alabama British Car Club hosts an annual British Car Festival in October of each year in beautiful Fairhope, Alabama on the eastern shore of Mobile Bay. The featured car this year is the Mini as that make celebrates it 65th anniversary. The theme of the show is Mini Gets Medicare. It has been held every year at the park since with the exception of no shows in 2014 and 2020. It is the largest VW car show in Texas, with over 300 classic Volkswagens in attendance. It is a free show to all participants, there is no registration fee nor spectator fee. The show is supported by many local, state, national and international businesses with donations to the raffle which sustain the show. The VW Harvest is a very fun, family friendly event with Hot Wheels races for the kids, a Kids Twinkie Eating contest and a fun home-made VW Valve Cover pinewood derby race. It is promoted on the VW Life YouTube channel, which currently has 44,000 subscribers across the globe, the VW Life and VW Harvest Facebook and Instagram pages, as well as local newspapers and TV/radio stations. For the Open House the shop was wide open for all to tour and see the many projects in progress. We had many in depth talks and fired a few engines. Special cars of all types filled the inner lawn area, 4x4s and crawlers were in the field, and the streets were lined with Mustangs, Fords, and other cool cars.The music was playing, while tasty food was being served. Several of our partners sweetened the show, and all the proceeds went to charity. The whole team at BDMC was thrilled to be able to host the car community. This year all proceeds will go the Future Gearheads Intern & Apprentice Program.
