When the original Chevy II rolled off the assembly line in 1962 it was touted as economical transportation for the masses. The first-generation models (1962-1965) were well designed and a profitable offering for Chevrolet. This 1964 Chevy II 4-door sedan is virtually original in all respects except for paint, some upholstery work and regular maintenance items. It is a solid example of this successful model. The exterior was refinished in two-tone Green/White and is in overall fair condition with some weathering and a few minor rust spots. Accents include good chrome/stainless, 14" steel wheels w/full wheel covers and UniRoyal Tiger Paw whitewall radials. The interior was reupholstered in pleated Tan/Beige vinyl and is in good condition. The most unusual feature of this Chevy II is original GM air-conditioning that still works perfectly (converted to R-134). Horsepower is provided by a classic Chevy motor " the small-block 283ci V-8 that is said to have never been rebuilt. It is backed by the venerable 2-speed PowerGlide automatic transmission and stock differential with 2.72:1 gearing. The chassis is equipped with power steering and manual drum brakes. This is a sweet Chevy II sedan that is ready for a new caretaker. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
