1991 Peterbilt 379 This 1991 Peterbilt 379 flat-top sleeper truck has undergone an extensive frame-off restoration and major mechanical overhauls. It pairs the classic long-hood Peterbilt appearance with a Caterpillar 3406B diesel engine and a 13-speed manual transmission. Restoration & Mechanical Work: The truck was taken down to the frame and rebuilt, with new wheels, tires, brakes, fifth wheel, and additional components. The Caterpillar engine has received a Platinum overhaul, and the transmission has been rebuilt. Approximately 100 miles are reported since the engine overhaul and transmission rebuild; the total odometer mileage is unverified. Configuration: Tandem rear axles, 6x4 drive, air-ride suspension, 3.55 axle ratio, left-hand drive, and a flat-top sleeper.
