1956 GMC 9300 Reg Cab, Step Side Resto Mod. Very well-done restoration and customization with excellent quality of workmanship. The cab and box were full removed and reinstalled on a customized frame with all welds smoothened and powder coated. The paint work, done in a metallic dark maroon, is all show quality. Most panels are original to the truck apart from the tailgate. The front grille assembly has been painted a semi-gloss black, and the all-new trim around the windows has been painted to match. All the glass on the truck is brand new, along with the Cragar wheels and tires, with Hosier Street tires out back! The box has been customized with mini-tubs allowing substantially wide rear tires! The box was also finished with spray in liner and capped with a soft vinyl tonneau cover, making it still useful for light duty work! The truck has a sharp look and great stance! Moving inside youll find dual powered bucket seats finished in leather with red stitching, black upholstery and carpets and a restored and slightly customized dashboard with white faced full set of Dolphin gauges. A billet steering wheel on tilt column along with a long-handled Lokar shifter and billet pedals are nice touches. The truck has its factory heater in place, but no stereo at this point. The signal light stock has switches for cruise control too! The fuel tank is still located behind the front seats, but it doesnt hinder seat comfort. Sound proofing cab be seen behind the carpets. Under the hood is a rebuilt 454 with a Comp Cam featuring roller lifters, new push rods, new valve springs and all new gaskets. All new dual exhaust was installed along with an Edelbrock intake and carburetor. HEI distributor, power steering and power brakes all there too! A chromed alternator, valve covers and fan shroud dress the engine up a bit too! The entire braking system is all new from front to back as well. A rebuilt TH350 with shift kit backs the engine, and a custom built and balanced drive shaft sends power to the Jeep sourced rebuilt 3.73 posi-rear end putting power to the ground. The rear axle also features air suspension. The entire electrical system on the truck is new asl well. Nothing left to do on the truck except for put on your own personal touches and enjoy! The odometer reads 2,000 kms since the rebuild was completed. Just enough to work out the kinks, but its basically still brand new!
