1998 Kenworth T800 CAT 3406E 475 HP 18-Speed Highlights: Documented Platinum Overhaul Wet Kit Heavy 3/8-Inch Frame 46,000-Pound Rears Aluminum Wheels This 1998 Kenworth T800 combines a 475-horsepower Caterpillar 3406E diesel with an 18-speed manual transmission and a substantial vocational-style chassis specification. The odometer shows approximately 705,865 miles, with approximately 280,000 miles since a Platinum engine overhaul. Overhaul paperwork is available, giving the next buyer a meaningful maintenance record to review. Chassis equipment includes a heavy 3/8-inch frame, 46,000-pound rear axle rating, 6x4 tandem-drive layout, and a 244-inch wheelbase. A 4.10 axle ratio, differential lock, sliding fifth wheel, and wet kit add versatility for compatible hauling applications. The truck also features dual exhaust and all-aluminum wheels. Recent work includes engine-brake solenoids and a replacement clutch, with the clutch replaced in November 2025. The fifth wheel was also replaced during the current ownership period. The steer tires are close to new, while the drive tires are more worn and approaching replacement. All tires are virgin rather than retreads, and the truck is fitted with 11R24.5 tires. The brakes are in good condition. The interior is in excellent shape for its age and retains the factory seats. The truck runs and drives very well, and a set of stainless-steel air cleaners may be included by arrangement. Its documented engine work, CAT powertrain, reinforced frame, and hydraulic equipment distinguish it as a truck worth considering for continued service. Located in Kremmling, CO 80459.
