1951 Chevrolet 3100 5-Window Pickup – 350 V8 – A/CTerry 952-451-2104
This 1951 Chevrolet 3100 5-Window Pickup combines the unmistakable styling of Chevrolet’s Advance-Design era with the performance and comfort upgrades that make a vintage pickup enjoyable on today’s roads.
Finished in brilliant metallic blue, the truck retains its classic rounded fenders, split windshield, running boards, five-bar grille and highly desirable 5-window cab, while tasteful custom touches give it a clean street-rod appearance.
Power comes from a 350ci Chevrolet V8 backed by an 4 speed transmission. It is equipped with power steering, power brakes, air conditioning and upgraded suspension, providing a considerable improvement in drivability over the original 1949 configuration. A dual exhaust system supplies the proper small-block V8 sound.
The truck rides on Cragar-style wheels wrapped in radial tires, giving it a traditional hot-rod stance. Out back, the pickup bed is beautifully finished with a wood floor and polished metal bed strips, while the embossed CHEVROLET tailgate maintains the classic appearance. A heavy-duty receiver-style towing setup has also been installed.
Inside, the custom theme continues with bucket seats, a new headliner, tilt steering column and wood-rim steering wheel. The painted dashboard houses upgraded TPI-Tech instrumentation, including a 140-mph speedometer and gauges monitoring fuel, voltage, oil pressure and coolant temperature.
The result is a sharp-looking 1951 Chevrolet 5-window that retains the character of an early Chevy pickup while adding the V8 power and modern conveniences buyers want in a classic driver. Door panels are on order
