This 1967 Ford Galaxie 500 Convertible pairs one of Ford's most recognizable full-size body styles of the era with a drivetrain built for open-road cruising. 1967 marked a facelift year for Ford's full-size line, and the convertible was by far the least common body style in the Galaxie 500 range compared to the hardtop and sedan variants Ford moved in much higher volume. Finished in blue over a blue bench seat interior with a power black vinyl top, this Galaxie presents the classic top-down cruiser look the model is known for.
Power comes from a 390 V8, backed by a C6 automatic transmission, a combination Ford paired often with its FE-series big blocks during this period for durable, easygoing power delivery. The exhaust has been fitted with true dual pipes running through cherry bomb mufflers, giving the 390 a deeper, more purposeful exhaust note than the factory single system. Out back, a 3.90 rear gear set sharpens off-the-line response, trading some highway cruising rpm for stronger acceleration, a setup that fits the car's character as a driver rather than a garage-kept showpiece.
Rolling stock is a set of 15-inch American Racing wheels, wrapped in 255/60 tires at the rear and 215/70 up front, a staggered setup that gives the Galaxie a subtle rake and a wider stance out back without straying from the car's period-correct look. Braking remains drum brakes at all four corners, consistent with how these cars left the factory in 1967.
