Making the history even more impressive, the car retains its original Build Sheet in excellent condition along with its original Protect-O-Plate two pieces of documentation that are increasingly hard to find with a 56-year-old Chevrolet. Under the hood is a matching number 350 cubic-inch V8 engine (engine stamp photo is shown in the pictures). The 350 is the more desirable of the commonly available small-block choices compared with the base 307, providing the kind of power and drivability that makes these cars so enjoyable on the road. The Build Sheet shows M38, denoting the Turbo Hydra-Matic 350 (TH350) 3-speed automatic transmission. The drivetrain is believed to be original to the car, further adding to the appeal of this remarkably preserved Malibu.
