1969 Volkswagen Beetle. Nicely restored little car thats mostly original with a few minor modifications. One of the first noticed is the front bumper featuring turn signals, when they should be on top of the fenders. This change allows for a nice clean look. The new front bumper is likely from a Super Beetle. The next modification is the interior. Despite being a 69, this car features the 67 and earlier metal dashboard, which is generally more desirable. The high back bucket seats began in 68 and in this case theyre fabric and vinyl, but a different pattern than the original all vinyl rear seat. Carpets are custom fit and are done using bulk low pile grey carpets. All gauges and switches are in working condition, but the car has a radio block off plate, so the little 1.2 liter air-cooled 4-cylinder provides the soundtrack to cruising. The dual exhaust on the car makes that perfect beetle noise with just a little hint of a whistle, like every Beetle should! To our eyes the engine is stock and overall runs very nicely. Dont expect to win any races with this one, its all about slow and easy cruising headed for a summer ice cream cone. The paint is nice on the car, but driver condition. The car is nice and could easily go in a car show but isnt so nice that you wouldnt want to drive it. No rust on the car that weve found. The car was purchased by the previous owner from Todd at Air Cooled Classics in Saskatoon and if you know anything about that business, its safe to assume this was a well put together little Bug. The car shows 57,000 miles, but with only 5 digits true milage is unknown. Glass is all good, tire tread is period correct and the headliner is nice too! Overall, just a nice little Punch Buggy!
