1966 International Pickup

Description:

1966 International 1/2 ton Pickup

The International Harvester Company was originally founded in 1902 with the merger of McCormick Harvesting Machine Company and Deering Harvester Company as well as a few other smaller manufactures. They were an American manufacturer of not just vehicles but agricultural equipment, construction equipment, lawn/garden products and even more. As the 60's arrived they were heavily focused on remaining relevant in the world of tractors as that was the life blood of the company but productions of trucks continued. This 1966 is a VERY cool 1/2 ton truck and has a flatbed in back. That is then fitted with stake bed sides which are 3 years old and were created out of Yellow Cedar and Oak. The bed also has the lifting dump truck mechanism. It isn't just for looks because this thing was built to work and would function well as a cool farm truck. The truck was originally Green but has had 1 repaint done in Red. It has a hitch in back and a White painted front bumper along with the stock style grill. On each side are wide mounted mirrors for improved visibility. It rides on 5 spoke wheels with Laredo Uniroyal tires.

The truck runs well and is powered by a 304 V8 motor that runs great. It is paired with a 4 speed transmission that shifts smoothly and includes a granny gear for when you need to put it work and haul a heavy load. It has power steering and really is a good driver.

The interior is in good shape and features a bench seat with a saddle blanket style seat cover and lap belts. On the center transmission hump is the angled manual shifter and lever to operate the bed. The interior panels are painted Red to match the exterior. In front of the driver sits a two spoke steering wheel and the factory style gauges. The original AM radio is in place but is not currently working.

You don't see many of these especially that incorporate the usefulness of that rear bed. It really is a solid utility truck and has belonged to the current owner for the past 25 years.

Take it home for $19,000.00!
