The builder di not specify the amount of top chop but the provided photos show a very low roofline. The Merc is loaded with traditional custom touches including Frenched headlights and taillights, shaved handles and trim, shaved bumpers, rounded hood corners, peaked hood, custom grille, fender skirts, slammed suspension, and rolled and pleated custom upholstery. The drivetrain has been updated with a Chevy 383-cu.in. stroker V8 and an automatic transmission. This Mercury coupe a very nice, well-sorted vintage ride. A Chevrolet 383-cu.in. OHV V8 powers this custom Merc coupe. An Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor tops an aluminum intake manifold. The seller rates the engine output at 450 horsepower.
