1955 Chevrolet 210

Description:

A full custom '55 210 lives or dies by its execution, and this one hits the mark from every angle. The car was torn down and rebuilt with fresh metal, a Roadster Shop Fast Track chassis, and a Chevrolet Performance LS376/480 that gives it real punch without turning it into a handful. The body wears a deep two-tone metallic burgundy that suits the shape perfectly, and the custom tan leather interior brings the cabin up to the standard you expect from a high-end build. It's a thoughtfully finished Tri-Five with modern performance, modern comfort, and a level of detail that makes the whole car feel cohesive

The restoration went all the way down to bare steel, then came back together with tight gaps, shaved details, and slick two-stage paint that looks liquid. The front end keeps the classic look but trades the factory clutter for a smoothed bumper, polished grille, clean lighting, and a nosed hood. Stainless trim outlines the post car greenhouse and traces the body lines without fighting the paint, and polished 18" American Racing wheels fill the wells with the right amount of modern presence. Out back, another smoothed bumper frames a decked trunk and LED tail lamps, one of which flips open to access the fuel filler. Nothing here feels overdone. It's simple, sharp, and confident.

The engine bay tells the real story. A Chevrolet Performance LS376/480 sits front and center, a fresh crate motor with a Hot Cam that brings it to 495 horsepower without sacrificing street manners. Painted shrouds tie it into the exterior, and the serpentine setup keeps the front of the motor clean and organized. A polished Griffin radiator with big SPAL fans handles cooling, and the Wilwood braking hardware stands out on the firewall. The whole package lives in a smoothed, body-colored bay with billet hood supports and polished details that integrate the engine nicely.

Underneath, the original frame was traded for a full Roadster Shop Fast Track chassis built around boxed rails, Corvette hubs and spindles, coilover suspension, and a four-bar rear that carries a Strange 9" with Positraction. The 4L70E automatic keeps the car friendly on the street, while power rack-and-pinion steering and a 1.25" sway bar give it sharp, predictable response. Stopping is handled by four-wheel Wilwood discs with twenty pistons working drilled and slotted rotors, and the Borla exhaust uses large-diameter stainless tubing to give the LS a clean, aggressive voice. Everything sits on polished 18-inch Coys wrapped in Michelin and Nankang rubber, giving the car a planted stance that fits the rest of the build.

Open the door and you step into something much more upscale than anything Chevrolet could have imagined in 1955. Custom tan leather, plush buckets, and a full-length console set the tone, with the console housing the power window switches, integrated cupholders, and a useful storage compartment. Dakota Digital VHX gauges anchor the dash, and modern air conditioning keeps the cabin comfortable without disturbing the custom look. A modern JVC touchscreen handles audio and Bluetooth, offers full streaming capabilities, and is SiriusXM ready for longer drives. A Flaming River Waterfall wheel sits on a polished tilt column, paired with a Lokar shifter that fits the car's modern-driver feel. The trunk didn't get skipped either, finished cleanly so the whole interior feels cohesive front to back.

This '55 doesn't try to mimic history. It celebrates it, then improves everything. Strong LS power, modern chassis engineering, real comfort, and show-level finish work. It's the kind of Tri-Five that stands out because it's well done, not because it's trying too hard. A sharp, well-sorted '55 that delivers real performance, real comfort, and the kind of quality you feel the moment you settle in.
