1968 Dodge Charger R/T in Hemi Orange. Fender tag, dash VIN, rad support, rear quarter panel stampings and engine are ALL numbers matching on this one! A true XS29 powered by the original 440 4-bbl confirm that its a real R/T as well. The radiator, intake, exhaust and air cleaner assemble all factory originals. Hard to find them like this anymore. Very few deviations from stock, but they include power steering, hood mounted turn signals, an AM radio and a passenger mirror added to the car, the fender tag does not call for them. The front brakes have been upgraded to disc brakes and theres a Wilwood proportioning valve inline. The car would have also left the factory with redline steel belted radials and fender lip mouldings, but those are no loner on the car. Hemi Orange technically came out for the 1969 model year. As good as it looks in this color, the factory paint was (J) Medium Gold Metallic. The tan interior compliments the orange well, but this car and it would have come with a two-tone white and black interior rolling off the assembly line. Other than that, the car is very true to its tag. Options include drip rail mouldings, body belt line mouldings, wheel lip mouldings (missing), 3.23 sure grip rear axle, 3-speed 727 automatic (this one is from a 1969), vinyl bucket seats in white and black, white upper door frames, accent stripes deleted, power brakes, power windows (less than 2% of Chargers came with these!), clock with tachometer, tinted glass, center console, premium bucket seats, optional headrests. The car was built for Canadian specs and was a sold car, meaning it was ordered, rather than a stock unit for a dealership sales lot. The build date was March 20 th . The Hemi orange paint has just had a fresh polish, the car has been through our shop and the carburetor rebuilt! Everything is in working order. The power windows work great, and the car sounds just right. Hide-away headlights work as they should too. Chrome and paint arent show quality, but nicer than just driver quality. Car shows 12,000 miles, but with only a 5-digit odometer, true milage is unknown. Trunk mat could use replacing, but the trunk floor is excellent. Rust free car. Neat and tidy under the hood. Time to make your Mopar dreams come true!
