1928 Ford Model A Vintage Project
This 1928 Ford Model A vintage project is an exceptional, decades-long build that reflects professional craftsmanship, meticulous preparation, and an uncompromising commitment to quality. The chassis has been extensively upgraded, including a step-boxed frame and a custom Pete Ryemer crossmember that allows the transmission to be removed by simply unbolting the lower sectionan upgrade specifically engineered for a Model A. The engine block, transmission, and rear end have all been sanded, primed, and painted to a smooth show-quality finish, with over 60 hours of prep work dedicated to the 8-inch rear end alone. Every weld on the frame has been finished, smoothed, and painted, and every component on the frame is either painted, powder-coated, chromed, or polished stainless steeleven the brake shoe springs and levers match the car.
All major bodywork has been professionally completed, including the four steel fenders, which were repaired using lead and hand-worked by a master craftsman with 40 years of experience. The aftermarket firewall was gas-welded to avoid distortion, and a complete wood kit from a top California manufacturer is included. Also included are brand-new Cragar Mach 8 Mag wheels that have never touched the road, along with approximately $9,000 worth of new or freshly rebuilt parts, not counting the hundreds of hours invested in the build. Custom twin stainless steel gas tanksprofessionally fabricated by a specialty metal shopare also part of the package.
Nearly everything needed to finish the car is included except a radiator and carburetor, which were intentionally not purchased so their warranties wouldnt expire during the long-term build. Owned and worked on for more than 45 years, this Model A has not been driven since 1955 and remains a never-completed, never-assembled project.
