The early 50?s was a dynamic period in the American automotive industry. Following World War II, manufacturers could thrive as the demand for new cars outstripped supply.
The 1952 model year marked Studebaker?s 100<sup>th</sup> Anniversary. The Land Cruiser sedan marked the final year of the 1947-1952 style which had evolved significantly since its debut. The Land Cruiser was built on a 119-inch wheelbase of the Commander and Champion models. This provided a roomier rear passenger area. The suicide doors were phased out after 1952, and the Land Cruiser became one of the last of over 100 Indiana-built car brands to use this design.
This 52 Land Cruiser has been fully restored. A lot of money, time, and love were put into the restoration. The paint is top notch and has no flaws. The chrome and trim were redone and present in show condition. All emblems are in new condition. The body is straight and solid.
The red and white interior was completely replaced. The headliner is white. Carpet is black and features red and black floormats. The steering wheel, instrument panel and gauges are all in excellent condition.
Engine is the 232.6 cid V8 engine and is paired with the 3-speed manual transmission. The car starts up and runs beautifully!
This is a great classic cruising car, one that you can take proudly to shows and cruise-ins. Studebaker made only 20,117 Land Cruiser sedans as part of their Commander series. It a rare collector car.
