1967 Chevrolet Nova Real SS, 283, Auto, Orig Paint, Buckets, PS, PB

For 1966, Chevrolet redesigned its Chevy II lineup (of which the Nova was an upscale trim level), giving the popular compact car a more substantial and sporty appearance. That brawnier style worked to great effect for the Nova Super Sport (SS) version of the popular compact car. The following year -- 1967 -- saw a few updates. Style-wise, the car sported a restyled grille and headlight surround trim, while on the safety front a dual master cylinder upgrade for the braking system debuted. With the Nova SS, four engines were offered -- two inline sixes (194 and 250 cubic inches) and two V8s (283 and 327 cubic inches). With its compact size and light weight, a V8-equipped Nova SS was an agile and fun little car. Here we have a real deal (118 VIN) 1967 Nova Super Sport that must be seen to be believed. The incredible Bolero Red paint is about 90 percent original (see paint meter pictures) while the body is rock solid and all original. The glass, chrome and stainless steel trim are brilliant, while the trunk (with its correct spatter paint) and the car's underside are likewise impressively clean and solid. A set of factory Rally wheels fitted with Kelly radials round out the impressive curb appeal of this classic '60s icon. Swing open the door and you'll see an interior that looks like it came right out of the brochure. The seats were reupholstered (including new foam cushions) in the correct material/pattern while the original steering wheel is crack-free. The original AM radio is still in the dash and there's an old-school FM converter under the dash. Under the hood is a factory-correct (though not original to the car) 283 2-barrel V8 that sends the power to the rear wheels via a 2-speed Powerglide transmission. A throaty but not obnoxious dual exhaust system adds the perfect muscle car soundtrack while power steering and power front disc brakes (an upgrade over the original front drums) make wheeling this nimble and spirited Nova around a breeze.
