They wanted to introduce a new car to replace the Ventura and with the help of John DeLorean they introduced the Grand Prix and soon after the GTO. The Grand Prix would have a great run spanning the greater part of 5 decades across 7 generations from 1962-2008! This one is a '77, last year of the 3rd generation and an L J model. The Firethorn Red paint with the white quarter vinyl top looks great. Inside you'll find red cloth interior that is comfortable and in good shape. Under the hood is a 6.6L 400ci V8 backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission. Car runs, drives, shifts out smooth and just floats down the road. She was stripped down, restored and repainted in 1987. Was a body "on" restoration. Photos are included documenting the restoration. In 2008 she received new brake calipers, rotors, pads in front and new brake drums, pads in the rear. She also had new wheel bearings and seals installed. In 2017 new spark plugs, wires, and distributor cap, radiator flush, new thermostat, and front end was greased. In the last few years she received exhaust work, new fuel tank, blower motor, new A/C Compressor, new core in radiator and more. Some receipts of most recent work is available. Current owner has had her for over 4 years, acquired from Gateway Classics in Chicago. Believed to be a 3-owner car! This car comes with the original window sticker and build sheet!
