1995 LAND ROVER DEFENDER 90 NAS SOFT TOP

1995 Land Rover Defender 90 NAS The NAS is for North American Specification and the Defender 90 was only imported into the US from 1993 through 1997, with the bulk being from 95-97. They are bare bones, basic, tractor based 4x4. Aluminum body over LARGE overbuilt steel frame, coil suspension, live axles, soft top, no air bags, no ABS, basic vinyl interior - no frills. This one, in an uncommon Coniston Green, was purchased brand new at Land Rover Darien and spent most of it's life in the coddled hands of CT Fairfield County owners. The current owner is #5 and bought the SUV from a close friend last year. The D90 was driven though and used on the dunes on the Cape (Cape Cod) as evidenced by a couple of beach passes, amassing 98K miles since 1997, roughly 3800 miles a year. The current owner bought her and went through her, having the engine rebuilt and other systems such as brakes and exhaust tended to. The outside is in very good condition, with just some minor galvanic corrosion occurring where steel bits meet the aluminum body, primarily hinges. The green paint has also recently been tended to with a color sand and buff. The black steel "nerf" bars also have some rust present. The cloth top is in excellent condition and the Toyo Open Country A/T's are in great shape in 265-75-16 size with a date code of 2014. The black bumpers front and back, also show some corrosion. Inside, the grey and black vinyl interior is also in very good condition. No tears in the seats or dash pad, all the electronics work except the radio which is tucked inside a black Tuffy Security center console. The truck comes with two new rear jump seats, along with the one rear seat and heavy duty nylon, possibly water proof, front seat covers. The rubber mats are in good condition and under them, there is some minor galvanic corrosion present in the toe boards. There is no AC, you open up the front vents and unzip the rear windows. The door windows are sliding units, they do not roll down. Under the hood finds the stock 3.9 liter V8 with fuel injection which has recently been rebuilt. She starts right up. Power disc brakes are at all four corners and power steering makes turning those large tires easy. The power is routed through a 5 speed manual transmission out to the stock, offset axles. The transfer case is a full time 4WD, central locking unit, which allows for 50/50 full lock when engaged. It also has an open setting that allows power to vary between the two axles for onroad driving. Lastly, once you crawl under her, the chassis is in great condition with no rot and only minor surface found on the frame & other components. If you're looking for a very solid, totally drivable Land Rover Defender 90, this is for you. With the rebuilt engine you can drive with confidence, and as #3043 of roughly 6500 built for the US market, it's in fairly rare air. If you're looking for a capable 4x4 to take on the dune or to the hunting camp, again, this is for you. Overall, this SUV is in great condition, runs and drives very well and will treat you well in whatever capacity you use it. Based on current market and recent sales, this NAS Defender 90 is priced at $75,500 Any questions, for many more photos and video, to schedule a time to see in person or simply to make an offer, please don't hesitate to contact me.
