This unique Boss 302 is a true 1 of 1 in that it is the only Chestnut Metallic Boss 302 with Medium Ginger Spectrum Cloth and Corinthian Vinyl Bucket seats. Medium Chestnut Metallic was a Thunderbird color and according to the Marti Report Stats only 10 Mustangs were painted this color and this is the only one with this iconic fabric interior. This car screams 1970! This restoration was on hold for 10 years as the correct NOS and OEM parts were collected for it. This Boss 302 has had the entire drive train rebuilt. The carburetor, distributor, smog are all original parts. The mufflers are date code correct. The original Ford bumpers were re-chromed and the car received all new date coded glass. Some of the options are factory 4 speed with Hurst shifter and 3:50 traction loc axle. The car has a factory original shaker hood, power steering, power disc brakes, rear deck spoiler, sports slats, AM /8 Track stereo, decor group, tinted glass and tach.
This car was featured in Mustang Monthly Magazine March 2019 issue entitled “ Chestnut Mare”. The article was written and photographed by Jerry Heasley, renowned in the automotive industry. We were thrilled to meet the original owner who ordered this unique Boss. He worked for the Ford dealer and had very specific ideas of his dream car. We have great documentation on the car and know the car ‘s history.
