1956 LINCOLN MARK II
‘56 Lincoln Mark II - white exterior, red/white leather interior. Where it was born, where it was restored – all documented in detail. A RARE find and only 3 owners. Complete history available upon request. When this car came out you had to be a ‘Who’s Who’ in order for Ford to sell you one. (In 1956, the factory List Price was $10,000.) Features: NUMBERS MATCHING (has all options). 368-V8 engine. 300HP – and Automatic transmission, all rebuilt with original or NOS parts. Engine compartment and underside, as when new. Complete drive train new or totally rebuilt to new - power steering rebuilt - drive shaft rebuilt - rear end rebuilt - power brakes rebuilt. Dual exhaust rebuilt (exhaust ports as factory – not bypassed. The factory stenciling numbers are as when new. Electrics rebuilt - New wiring harness - new white wall bias ply – like original – tires. Spare - spare tire cover - Jack and tools. All power options and accessories work as when new - Air conditioning works as when new. New white-cream (as original) paint. All glass perfect, except a few non-noticeable pimples on the rear window. Exterior chrome as when new. Interior features: New white and dark red leather interior - and jack cover covered in matching leather. Power vent windows - New interior chrome, knobs, handles. The Factory Parts Catalog, Body Mk II Factory Technical Data Catalog. Also lots of pictures of the restoration and the original 34 Invoices, with explanation of all charges attached to the invoices of work done by the professional restorer (totaling $98,000), as well as other receipts. All invoices/receipts total $123,480.68. Under 500 Miles since 3-1/2 year professional restoration - completed 1/17/04 at cost of $98,000+. This 1 car has not been judged since the $98,000(+) 3-1/2 year recent restoration. But this car is scheduled to be judged by AACA at the Fall Central Division Mete in Moline Illinois. A 1 car in the “Old Cars Report Price Guide” of Feb. 2010 is listed as $96,000. Western car, Originally delivered to a California Ford Executive 12/56, then displayed at the Towe Ford Museum in Sacramento California. On 3-7-88, the Ca DMV, documented mileage at 35,548 for the new California owner. On 12-2-91 a LCOC member became the last owner, and had the vehicle restored twice. Now showing 2-2-10 under 45,000 miles including the 500 since the 3-1/2 year restoration. Presently a Arizona title. More photos availible apon request.
