Frame off restoration Short bed Napco truck Rare combination of the GMC 316 CI V-8 paired with a 4-speed Hydra-Matic transmission Napco 4-wheel drive Bed refinished with solid oak planking, chromed bed strips and stainless steel fasteners Driveline components were disassembled, inspected, cleaned and worn parts were replaced or reconditioned to factory specs Parts were stripped, sandblasted, primed and painted New bearings were installed and the assemblies were meticulously reassembled Transmission was rebuilt and the parameters controlling the shift characteristics were set to factory specs Framed information display included Powdercoated frame and inner fender wells Dual brake reservoir master cylinder and power brake booster system New brake lines, hoses, brake shoes and slave cylinders were added in the original location Upgraded charging system Alternator added New GMC specific electrical harness installed along with new light and ignition switches Interior redone with special sound deadener installed prior to the installation of high grade carpet and sound matting Three new custom driveshafts New grade 8 bolts were used to reassemble the driveline and steering components New fuel tank, hoses and retaining straps The interior paint matches GMC specs Five correct 16 inch diameter wheels, powdercoated to match the body color Special radial tires Spare tire is mounted in the correct factory location For more information, please visit mecum.com.
