The W72 option in Trans AM would be the last year that the Pontiac 400 would be produced. A 1979 Trans Am ordered with the W72 engine came with 4-speed, 4-wheel disc brakes and the legendary WS6 handling package. The WS6 equipped Trans Am was the best-handling American car in 1979. Many enthusiasts consider this car to be the last of the great muscle cars. Only 1,107 black and gold SE 400 4 speeds were produced so yes this is one rare bird.
