| Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio/Austin is proud to present this 1992 Ford Mustang Convertible, finished in Maroon over a newly reupholstered Gray cloth interior. New carpeting further refreshes the cabin, while a new manual convertible top provides the option for open-air cruising. Under the hood is Ford's 5.0-liter V8 featuring several performance upgrades. The engine is equipped with a Ford E303 camshaft, GT40 cylinder heads, a Performer intake manifold, 65mm throttle body, 24 lb. fuel injectors, and BBK shorty headers. Together, these upgrades build on the 5.0L platform with a combination of classic Fox-body performance modifications. The interior combines classic Fox-body styling with several updated features. A new Kenwood touchscreen radio provides Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and is paired with new Bose speakers. New air conditioning adds to cabin comfort, while cruise control, power windows, power locks, and a driver airbag round out the equipment. Power steering and power brakes add everyday convenience, while performance tires complement the Mustang's V8 drivetrain. Seatbelts are also equipped for the occupants. The 1992 Mustang came near the end of the Fox-body era, with the platform entering its final model year in 1993. The 5.0L V8 became particularly well known for its modification potential, and upgrades such as the GT40 heads, E camshaft, intake, injectors, and headers found on this example reflect the performance-focused aftermarket that continues to surround these Mustangs.
