1966 CHEVROLET CHEVELLE SS396 360 HORSE 4-SPEED CONVERTIBLE

VERY RARE MATCHING NUMBERS CAR: 1966 Chevelle SS396 /360 Horse 4-Speed Convertible in lovely Mist Blue with a black top, black interior, period Torque-Thrust wheels, and Redline radial tires. Absolutely flawless frame-off restored Arizona car with 79,807 miles. The original matching numbers engine is still clearly marked with the EF 360 horse suffix code besides the matching VIN and all date codes are within three weeks preceding the car's build date. The factory Holley carburetor is still fitted to the factory cast iron Holley intake manifold, the original cast iron exhaust manifolds are connected to a dual free-flow exhaust system, and when the engine was rebuilt emphasis was placed on originality (correct 10.25 compression, correct 360 horse cam) there are no modifications and all engine components are factory correct. Fires right up and settles into a lopey idle with a deep aggressive exhaust note and that great sounding cam. There are no mechanical issues no smoke, no leaks, no noises and runs nicely on 93 octane pump gas. Revs instantaneously with no hesitation, the factory Holley four barrel howls beautifully when you punch it, and will nail you back in the seat & spin the tires in first, second, & third with the throttle! Very strong running car!! The factory M21 close-ratio 4-speed transmission functions perfectly and the factory 12-bolt positraction 4.10 rearend provides powerful acceleration while allowing relatively relaxed highway driving. Power steering and power brakes.   Beautiful black bucket seat interior with the factory center console and the factory chrome Muncie shifter. Factory Rallye gauges for Oil Pressure/Water Temperature/Ammeter/& Fuel all work properly. Factory 1966-only Knee-Knocker 7000 RPM tachometer also works properly. Factory AM radio works correctly. Excellent carpets, excellent seats, excellent interior door panels. No wear on any of the controls and no sunfade on the instruments. Excellent factory wood steering wheel.
